POLICIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

No-Piracy Policy

A personal media server is not a license to obtain or distribute material without permission.

Last updated 7 October 2026

Ordering is not available. These policies describe the current website and proposed hosting terms; they do not activate a service.

Only material you are entitled to use

Use dk-media infrastructure only for content you are legally entitled to access, host and, where applicable, share. Examples include your own creations, appropriately licensed works and public-domain material, subject to any relevant terms. Ownership of a physical copy does not automatically authorize every form of copying or sharing.

dk-media provides application hosting, not films, television, books, access to streaming subscriptions or rights to third-party material.

No unauthorized access or distribution

Do not use hosted applications to obtain, stream, upload, distribute or sell copyrighted material without the required rights. Do not circumvent paywalls, DRM, access controls or source restrictions without authorization. Do not publish an unauthorized content catalog or operate a piracy service.

Media organizers, request tools, WebDAV gateways and externally sourced indexes can have lawful uses. Their availability in the catalog is not permission to infringe copyright or a representation that their sources are authorized.

Public data is not permission

Third-party APIs and indexes may collect data that is publicly visible. Public visibility, a search result, a metadata entry or a successful automated request does not establish a license, ownership or permission to use the underlying material. You must verify those rights yourself.

dk-media does not curate or manage content returned by your applications. That does not remove its obligations to act on valid notices or binding legal requests.

Reports and action

Rights holders and other reporters can use the Abuse page. Include the exact location, the work and rights concerned, your contact details, authority to act and relevant evidence. Do not send copies of illegal content.

Substantiated reports may lead to proportionate access restrictions, removal or service suspension where appropriate or required. Serious or repeated infringement can lead to termination, subject to applicable law. Customers may provide relevant counter-information through the notice process. This is not a promise of a particular jurisdiction’s takedown or counter-notice procedure.
